LG Alert™ Rollover Warning System
The LG Alert™ is a patented Rollover Warning System designed to assist drivers in recognizing when they are approaching the safe operating limits of their vehicle. The LG Alert™ monitors 'g' forces exerted on the vehicle in all three axes (lateral, axial and vertical).
Lateral 'g' forces, the forces exerted when vehicles corner or are operated on a side slope, are responsible for most large vehicle rollovers. These types of accidents are the most costly in terms of both loss of life and property damages.
Our Single Axis display provides incremental visual and audible indications to
the driver as lateral "g" forces on the vehicle increase, warning the driver of
pending loss of control.
Data from the LG Alert™ can be recorded and used for analysis of driving technique and vehicle dynamics using our MADASS™ data acquisition system.
The LG Alert™ is uniquely designed so that it may be individually calibrated to any straight chassis vehicle. The types of vehicles benefiting from the LG
Alert™ system typically have a high center of gravity, dynamic load, are
subjected to high cornering speeds and/or operate on uneven terrain. These
types of vehicles include emergency response vehicles, ready mix concrete
trucks, waste mangement trucks and military equipment. Installation is simple
and can be accomplished in less than one hour.
Since its initial testing and implementation by Transport Canada, the LG Alert™ has received tremendous recognition and acceptance. With more than 1,000 units in the field, users now include:
